About Arcvia

Arcvia was built on a simple observation: good engineering isn't only about getting the numbers right — it's about connecting the right thinking to the right route forward, and communicating it clearly enough that clients, councils and approving authorities can act on it with confidence. We think good engineering should be as clear as it is rigorous — a report you can act on, not just file. We set out to do both — sound engineering and clear communication — and to make that the thing we're known for.

The name says what we do. Arc is the geometry of how things connect and move — the curve that joins two points safely and efficiently, which is the daily language of road alignments, turning paths and sight lines. Via is Latin for the way or road — the route through, from a problem to an approval, from a concept to a built outcome. Put together, Arcvia is the considered route forward: the firm that understands both the geometry of the problem and the pathway to the outcome.

We are a traffic engineering and transport planning practice. Our work spans five areas: development and transport planning (the studies a planning application needs); road safety and funding (audits, Safe System assessments, Black Spot submissions); traffic engineering and design (swept paths, heavy vehicles, car parks, drawings); construction transport and traffic management; and data, modelling and advisory. We service Victoria — our primary market — and Queensland, where projects are supported by appropriately registered engineering capability.

Our project teams are assembled around the needs of each engagement, drawing on our engineering team and multidisciplinary network. That means the right capability for your project. We're clear on scope, fee and timeframe from the start; we write to be understood; and we stay available through review. We're structured to grow — into further engineering disciplines over time — but we advertise only what we genuinely do today.
