Standards, guidelines & authorities
Prepared with reference to the applicable Austroads design guidance (including the Guide to Road Design series), the relevant Australian Standards (including the AS 2890 parking series and AS 1742 for signage/marking), and the road authority's or council's design requirements and standard drawings. We confirm the applicable references at scoping.
Information we need for your fee proposal
The design task and stage (concept vs detailed); the site information and survey available; any prior assessment (TIA, safety treatment); the approving authority; and your timeframe.

Detailed design develops it into fully documented drawings a contractor can build from. We scope to whichever your project needs, and can progress from one to the other.
Both. Our design often follows our own assessment (a TIA, an access assessment, a safety treatment), which keeps the whole chain consistent — but we also take on design where the analysis has already been done by others.
We prepare drawings to the relevant standards and to the road authority's or council's requirements and standard drawings, and confirm those requirements at scoping so the design is right for the approving authority from the start.
Yes — where a project needs civil, structural or other input, we coordinate through our multidisciplinary network so the transport design fits the wider engineering. We only bring in what the project genuinely needs.
